The two restaurants, as well as the contemporary Terrace Café, all have their own unique positioning. Inyama Grill House, a relaxed family steakhouse restaurant, recently relocated. The classic Matthews Restaurant is the icon restaurant at the Riviera. Matthews has a friendly unique atmosphere where the discerning diner is treated to contemporary country cuisine. Chef Warren and his team are dedicated to cullinary excellance. A speciality is the once-a-month theme evening. A cruise on the Petit Verdot

The Petit Verdot is often the highlight of business conferences as well as leisure guests’ experience. Dining on this 80 seater floating restaurant is a special experience, gently floating down the river is something to behold. With the lights of the Riviera hotel fading in the distance and soft intimate music fills the air an atmosphere of total indulgent emerges.

The town is known for its important role in the South African history. Sharpeville saw water shedding in the struggle against apartheid, a peace treaty between the Boers and the British was signed in the town as well.
