The annual Riviera on Vaal Charity Golf Day has been taking place at this riverfront golf course since its inception in 2004. On this day golfers and businesses come together to play a round of golf at the riverfront golf course in aid of the Vereeniging Child Welfare. All proceeds from this day go towards purchasing food, blankets and clothes for the Vereeniging Child Welfare making a difference to the children that this charity supports. The format for play will be betterball stableford with an 11h30 tee shotgun start off.

As part of the Zorgvliet Portfolio, the Riviera on Vaal Country Club supports charities with women and children as its focus. Come and join in the fun while supporting a worthy cause at this riverfront golf course that adds value and meaning to a game of golf.

This year the Riviera on Vaal Charity Golf Day will take place on 11 July 2008 and you can support the event by sponsoring prizes, giving donations or buying a four ball and taking part on the day. There will be an auction of countrywide golf breakaways happening on the day and a wide range of other big prizes available.

The Riviera on Vaal Country Club’s riverfront golf course is an 18-hole par 72 with a course rating of 71 for men and 71 for women. As you can see ladies are also welcome to play a round of golf at this riverfront golf course. There is a score card exclusive to ladies available at the Riviera on Vaal Country Club and ladies were recently invited to the riverfront golf course for a Pitch & Putt brunch aimed at encouraging women to become more involved in the sport.

The Riviera on Vaal Country Club runs a range of monthly promotions exclusive to its club members at this riverfront golf course.

These include:
• Country Club Pitch & Putt Evening – every last Tuesday of the month at 17h00.
• Country Club Members Fellowship Braai – every Saturday at 18h00. You can order your own variety of braai packs from the waiters at the riverfront golf course and braai yourself. The menu includes greek salad, fresh bread rolls and traditional pap and sous. Braai areas will be provided.
• Country Club Members Happy Hour - Monday – Friday, 17h30 - 18h30.
