The Zorgvliet Portfolio was established in 2002 when businessman Mac van der Merwe, bought the Zorgvliet Wine Estate in the heart of the Cape wine land region near Stellenbosch. The historic farm with its stately manor, the Herenhuis, now completely restored to a restaurant, dates back to 1692 and is located in the legendary Banghoek Valley.

The Ka’Ingo Reserve & Spa is yet another one of the top eco-tourist destinations that forms part of the Zorgvliet Portfolio. The Reserve lends itself to opulence, style, and array of facilities and excellent game viewing opportunities in the Waterberg biosphere.

The luxurious Riviera on Vaal Hotel joined the ranks of the Zorgvliet Portfolio at the end of 2003, adding more plush accommodation to the Zorgvliet Portfolio.
